The Sun Mountain Golf Company was started in the 1980s by Rick Reimers in Montana. Sun Mountain Sports makes and markets golfing bags, rental cars, and push carts, along with an assortment of men's and women's golf outerwear and accessories. The first great product that this company made was the now legendary Sun Mountain Golf Stand Bag which was an innovative product in the 1980s because it boasted legs which automatically sprang out when the bag was placed on the ground. The company peddles the Eclipse brand of outerwear, as well as 15 other names. Through its embroidery division, the manufacturer offers items, such as golf clubs, company bags, and outerwear, that are embroidered with a particular logo. Sun Mountain Sports has partnered with about 600 college and high-school coaches to provide gear for teams. The firm's products are sold through sporting goods and specialty golf retailers nationwide.
