Ping is a brand of high-quality golf equipment, as well as one of the largest of the remaining American manufacturers of golf clubs, based in Phoenix, Arizona, founded by Karsten Solheim. In 1959, he started making his own putters in his garage in Redwood City, California. Over the years Ping grew to become one of the most respected brands in the golf industry, making each and every type of golf club as well as golf bags, clothing and other accessories. Currently, Ping produces clubs in every equipment category: drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges and putters. Ping can boast of over 500 Tour wins and almost 50 major victories. Each of those victories is marked by the casting of two gold putters - one for the player and one to remain at Ping's headquarters.
